Heritage Night Project
Dear Families,
Heritage Night is coming up on Friday February 4th. Students will be sharing about their cultures. We will be displaying our projects in the hallway for everyone to see. Students will need to work with their families to create parts of this project.
This is what you will need to do:
1. Think of a special recipe from your culture or family (something you may eat during the holidays or on special occasions).
2. Write or type the recipe and bring it to school.
3. Make the food at home and take a picture of it (if you can’t take a picture, you can draw one).
4. Write about why this food dish is special to you and your family.
Students will have the opportunity to write and draw in the classroom. The recipe must be brought from home.
All of this will be put together as a poster in the classroom.
We will begin putting this project together on Tuesday 1/18.
The project turned out beautifully and the cookbook will come home on Heritage Night!
